Although not pretty, actually it is black so looks mean zilch, I cut a 3/8" piece of hard rubber in an oval shape about 3" by 2" and keep it in my windshield bag. I use it all the time under my kickstand and has never let me down when parked on a soft spot.

Some type of clip on or snap on with a plastic link, right off the brain, let me mull on this one for that day......

I hate to reinvent the wheel and I have done a quick search..so here's the thing!

I want to make a kickstand plate so that if I park my drifter on grass the kickstand won't sink in and topple the bike..

I know I can carry a piece of wood but I wanted something slightly more elegant..

The idea is to fit something to the bike that won't look like a pigs ear that I can easily remove to slip under the kickstand to enlarge the footprint..

After looking at the bike the sissy bar seems the best place to store it and steel may be the best material to use..

Now I can cut the steel to fit under the sissy bar pad but I am looking for some attachment ideas that enable a quick release..my idea is a bracket with a center threaded hole and a wing nut..

Anyone have anything better..

John.
