Rear Turn Signals/Running Lights

I ordered that kit a few weeks ago.Came packaged very well and the shipping only took a few days.They also keep you well informed via email on the tracking.Just wanted to provide that info in case anyone was hesitant in ordering them.......(same ones from mod section)

Pilgrim,the led mod is located on this forum.Kit was fairly inexpensive imop.Also if you go on customdynamics.com you can find the red replacement lense for 8.99 a pair.They also sell the clear or smoked lense for the same price.

I also did this too about a year ago. Just take the sockets out of front signals and install them in the rears after you take the old sockets out. I also relocated the front signals with some old harley signal lights

When doing the front turn signal mod, I was a bit vague on some of it.  Let me see if I can clear some of that up.  The front turn signal bulbs are 1157 and the rear are 1156. The fronts are running lights and turn signals (dual filament) and the rears and turn only (single filament) also used for back up lamps on most older cars. It is illegal in most if not all states to have steady yellow / amber lights showing from the rear of a vehicle. Yellow / Amber is OK as flashing turn signals. To connect them you'll have the same ground and signal wires as your current rear set plus one more wire that will connect to your running (red) light wire under the seat or behind the tail light.

You would have to change the sockets out to 3 wire sockets.

Sounds good, maybe there is a way to add that additional wire to the rear turns and use them instead of changing out to front turns. Thanks for your help.

There's an extra wire in the front signals as compared to the rear.  That's for the running light part.  Just plug the turn signal wire into the existing wire in the rear then tap into the running light wire (for the rear tail light) with the other wire.

What do you mean by run the wires? Run them and tap into your front signal lights?

It's simple, effective, and inexpensive.

(Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while......)

One important point though.....most states only allow red rear lights, so be sure to switch out the amber lenses for red ones.  They come up on Ebay all the time.  (Or clear lenses with red bulbs)

Get another pair of front turn signals and mount them on the rear then run the wires.  Simplest way I know, and it uses all factory parts that can be bought cheap at any good wrecking yard.
