yep it will look nice. I aggree, run seperqte grounds. I soldered my grounds to the back of the bulb holder housing. the foglights are open in the bottow to prevent fogging. mine use to be grounded around the mounting post. The ground was good but the little clips that hold the bulb housing in the light bucket started to rust and it slowly reduced the quality of the ground. After its all mocked up and working you can put the hot and ground wires in heat shrink and have a nice black single wire going to each lamp. Im sure your  buddy has a good trick up his sleeve and will take good care of you. Its looking sweet.  You'll be riding those roads again soon.

  that has crossed my mind and I'll do some of it, but also going to mock it up and wire it and see what happens then go from there. But it will work out......

Just take a grinder and grind off a bunch of the powder coating to ensure a good ground... ...NOT! it might interfere, if it does, just run a ground wire from the ground wire in the light housing back and ground it on the original signal light ground.

  So could not find an original black light bar for my bike, but found a chrome one, so took the chrome on to the powder coating place here in town. Here is stock one and before powder coating and then after powder coating...

My only question is, and something I did not think of prior to doing the powder coating, is the powder coating going to affect the ground of the lights? Not a big deal I have a buddy who is really good with car wiring and lights and things, he is a boat mech so he can help me out...
