The first is an 800 with a saddlebag bracket but no saddlebags, the second a 1500 without saddlebag brackets.  The tipoff is the shocks on the 1500 are visible, but the 800 has a hidden monoshock.

The horse shoe bracket works with the saddlebag brackets.  See the second link in my first post.  It shows how they go together.  The horse shoe bolt on first and the saddlebag bracket goes on top.

The seat rail for the 2up can be used or not used.

I saw the seat page. The very first picture in the seat page is the oem 2up. What is that bar that wraps around the back of the seat? that looks awful to me. Does the horseshoe bracket bolt to the current saddlebag bracket? Does the oem 2up work with the oem saddlebags?

That's a great looking bike pc.

I like those seats from Heathers Leathers, but to me the Corbin looks better.

I'm looking at the seat mods now.

I also want to add that Heather's Leathers will made a custom Buddy seat like the antique Harley and Indians used. They are expensive but look so much better for two up riding as compared to the OEM or even the Corbin. I should say in my opinion. This is my own Kawasaki/Corbin (not a true Corbin, but the Kawasaki Fire & Steel seat that uses the Kawi pan and Corbin foam and cover) with saddlebags (on my 1500)

The Mustang seat is really just a cover for the stock seat, and it does require the horseshoe bracket you saw in the pics in the last link.  You can mount a Mustang seat made for another bike, but it's a custom setup.  You can see all kinds of seat info here: http://www.vulcandrifterriders.com/reviewpost/showcat.php?cat=52

You can't mount a seat on the rear fender as it's plastic and won't hold the weight, plus it moves with the rear suspension.

For the plate, any decent auto parts store can sell you a chrome plate surround, but I did the lay down trick ( http://www.gadgetjq.com/laydownplatedrifter.htm ) and I think it looks great (very trick, and it's dirt cheap too!).

Okay, i would like some advice concerning 2up seats or some type of passenger seat configuration. What it will do to my current saddle bag set up also.
First, I understand the Corbin 2up needs a horseshoe bracket. Does the horseshoe bracket bolt to the current saddlebag bracket?
Second, if i can find a Mustang 2up, will the horseshoe bracket need to be installed per the Corbin 2up?
Thirdly, has anyone here successfully mounted a rear seat that looked good. (I'm not into the OEM and the way it shows under the seat).  A quick detach passenger seat would be cool, but not necessary.
I'm the third owner of my bike and the second owner had it a year and about a 1000 miles. He didn't do anything to add to it and couldn't answer any questions as far as being set up for two to ride. I do know it has the passenger floor boards so I wonder if the original owner had planned to put a 2up seat on the bike.

Not seat related, but I'm looking to put a chrome license plate holder on instead of the black plastic one i have now. Iron Pony told me I needed the light/plate assembly a 150 sum bucks. I don't think they looked up the right part, my plate mount is separate from the tail light.

I know ChiliDrift and I talked about his seat he has, I still want to make it down your way and check it out. I'm trying to weigh cost/value/appearance/practicality/etc...
Also, does the Mustang 2up fit without modifying the saddlebags?
