BTW, aralph, I looked on the site and couldn't find them.  Where on the site did you find them?
[/quote]Their site has 7 pages; each page has 2 and sometimes 3 levels; you might have to click on different "page within page" to find them.

I have the tank emblems and air cleaner pieces and I was surprised when I got them too.  They look like they're made of JB Weld or something like that.  I will say though that they do wear pretty well.  I've had mine on since '08 and they look the same as when I got them, and I ride a fair amount in all sorts of weather.  I've put on about 30,000 miles with them on the bike.

BTW, aralph, I looked on the site and couldn't find them.  Where on the site did you find them?

Well finally got the fender tips from Zambini Bros.

1st, this product is a metalic veneer bonded to a thermoplastic matrix as defined by
the Certificate of Product that you recieve with your purchase. Fancy way of saying plastic
covered chrome. When I first emailed about this item I was told it was a polished aluminum
finish. Web site doesn't mention anything about plastic.

2nd, the fit isn't quite right. The rear is better then the front. They do explain how to heat the emblem up to be pliable
and form it to the proper contour. Yet to try this.

3rd, the finish is disappointing. I was expecting polished aluminum. Recieved a silver colour
with a shiny protective sealant and small pit marks in the metalic veneer.

Felt like Ralphie when he thought he didn't get the Red Ryder BB Gun at Christmas.........
Definitely not worth the money. Will continue my search for a higher quality product.

Well, I am sorry to hear that about their products. I've put them in my wish list as I thought they were all metal tank emblems. Their Indian emblems are beautiful but for that money, I really did think the were made with three different metals.  But, I guess they would be pretty heavy. But the fender tip, again I would of thought it was solid steel. Thanks Ralph for sharing.

I've worked with their products before.  To reshape them, put them in warm water for a while.  Patience is the key here.  It takes quite some time.  Don't force the part to move too much, a slightly firm hand is enough.

I've ordered a set from Zambini, just need to get them picked
up at the UPS store in Detroit (free shipping in the USA).
Will let you know how they fit.

I don't think they are the same contour. Check out the Zambini site (there is a link to their site in the "Accessories" page this forum); they are making fender tips to fit the Drifters, available in silver, bronze, or black.
