Yes, I do need your email address. I'll scan it pretty soon, since you aren't in immediate need....Is .PDF ok with you, or would you like a different format?

Sure!!! It will help next time I have a owner added issue. :) You need my email?

I had one of those lighted fender  Indian heads on mine, too. The previous owner put it on. I never had a problem with it shorting, but the rivets holding the fender got loose.  That's a lot of weight to ask the rivets to support... Glad you found the problem, do you still want the schematic?

Hi Troll,
Thank you for the offer!!
I spend about two hours on the front end tracing wires and blowing fuses!! I finally found it.  The front fender has a lighted indian head that the wire came off and was rubbing on the wheel.  When It touched metal it would short.   Ripped it out for now.  I will have to run a new wire later when I have some time to take the fender off and clean.
At least I can ride tomorrow!!!    ;D

That's going to be a pretty extensive file. I'll scan it for you, but I'm pretty sure you don't need the whole thing. If you want it, I can send it to you as a .pdf via email. If it were me, I'd start by disconnecting the plug going to the rear section, located behind the plastic cover just above the drive shaft. All the wiring comes together for the lights inside the headlamp housing, so that's the next place to look. The last place I'd go would be where the harness comes out from under the fuel tank...Does it pop right away, or does it take some time to go open?

Hi All,
I started blowing a fuse for my taillight and dash.  Spliced in at somepoint I have my front driving lights.  I unplugged the driving lights without any luck.  Not sure where the short is at this point.  Does anyone have a copy of the wiring schematic that I can use.  I never realized how many wires are on this bike. By the way it is a 2001.
With weather as nice as it is I really want to get some riding in but kinda need that brake light....
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Michael
