Good point, 45 , an old trick with cars was to look at the gas brake pedal to see if their worn. a low mileage odometer with worn rubber parts didn't jive.

1500, or 800?
the 1500 radiator level is by the right side cover

only 4000 miles? not really even broken in yet.

Is the title clean, or salvage title?
are you willing to pay for a vin check(carfax but for a bike)
800 is the chain & sprockets in good shape?
1500, do you notice a little knock in the drive shaft system when releasing the clutch, or alternating between on the gas and off (as in slop in the drive line?)

Just use common sense, does the rest of the bikes parts look like only 4000 miles, or do you think they replaced the speedo.

If you start it up cold (from sitting over night) how does it sound, Ticks and such.
Just my thoughts.

2004 Drifter with about 4K - looks super clean, good tires, rides and shifts really well.  My fear is  I buy it and miss something major that I find out about as I am riding it home.  Looked at oil already - up to level, and looked pretty new.  Need to know how to check radiator fluid.  What are other main things to look for - listen for?  Thanks
