Have a look at it... I doubt its a clutch... more likely its simply linkage which works the shifter. All you need to do is remove the linkage and, if not already there, add a shifter pedal back on.

Take some pics and we may be able to help more.

ok i found a drifter that was in my price range but it turns out to have a suicide clutch. since i am a beginner i figure that isn't good for me. so my question is, is it hard or expensive to switch it back to normal?
