I know a few folks have done that. I don't have any info. Seems like a good idea since you REALLY want them to be close to the same.

Anyone here install the kit that allows you to inflate both shocks at the same time and equalize the pressure?  Just wondering.

I picked up one from Harley; it works well, is small enough to put almost anywhere on a bike. When you attach it to the air fitting and detach it, you lose no air. Cost around $45.00 up here in Canada. Should be less in good old USA.

Should be part of your regular maintenance.  I check the air in the tires once a week, coolant and oil once a week, and the air in the suspension about every two weeks. If a shock leaks down, it's not a big deal, if a tire does, well...that's a whole different situation.

Now, get the correct pump and check it often... you check with the pump!  Progressive shock pump... get the one with the larger scale.

I read on this forum about peoples issues with shocks. Before purchasing some progressive hd's, I thought I would swing by the dealer and have the air pressure checked. I requested 30lbs and I have the pre-load set at 3. I am a cowboy size guy.

Surprise! The technician handed me the keys. All done. Only 5 minutes and n/c. How much air was in them when he checked? You guessed it. ZERO. No wonder I was occasionally bottoming out.

I have always said the Drifter has a great comfortable ride. Now, I REALLY mean it!!
