800 low speed mixture adjustment

Thanks, that's very helpful. I did the same thing to a 750 ACE I used to have. The 800 is supposed to have been rejetted for the shorty dual pipes. We'll see what's in there & how things are set.

I had to do it twice when I rejetted the carbs on my W-650...basically the same unit you have, times 2. It's pretty easy, but you should take the carb off and turn it up side down. Use a good quality 5/32" drill and go slowly. Once you get a hole through the cap, you can pop it out with a pick. I wound up setting my idle screws at 5 turns out....but your engine is VERY different. I copped this of the dynojet web site....

Has anyone drilled out their low speed mixture screw cap & adjusted the mixture? My bike is definitely running lean just off idle. The cooler it is outside the worse it gets.
