Well, good luck, let us know how you make out with it. If you can post some pics it might help sort things out too.

it is a '99, I always go solder and shrink wrap, have to look for some of that liquid stuff, i think I had some a while back and forgot about it, thanks for the reminder. I looked up for a '99 and it showed the cover, course that doesn't mean it is correct. I will hit up someone on CL for a shot of theirs.

Just out of curiosity, what year is your bike? The early (1999 and I think 2000) Drifters were much more open on the left side than the later ones.

P.S. You likely already are aware of this, but on your wiring, when you find crimp-on connectors, do yourself a BIG favor and remove them; they WILL give you grief sooner or later. Opt for solder/shrink-tube, I always use a sealant on the wire before putting the shrink-tube on. "Liquid Electrical Tape" (available from Napa) works great; keeps moisture thus corrosion from getting at the connection. (After reading about your fog light wiring I thought I should mention this)

Can someone get a close-up shot of the wiring around the rear cylinder on the drive shaft side. whomever worked on the bike I havedid not do a good job on placing the wires where they should be, plus they did a bad job of wiring up the fog lights, they just twisted the wire around the switch and put tape around it to keep from shorting out. I am waiting on tires so am fixing the sh*t jobs that I have ran across. I am adding all SS lines to brakes and clutch also. You can send an e-mail or put in here. Thanks.
