The bottom line is its YOUR bike you make it what you want ,screw the world on there opinion....its yours ,its not for me, but neither are fake eyelashes but my wife likes them and they look good on her...me not so much..anyway if you really want it to look like a indian poor some oil under it when you park it, that will make it even more indian like...just joking...have fun with it and be proud of it!!

What about "Driftian"  ....  electroplated chrome script lettering..... or maybe all caps "DRIFTIAN"......   Hmmm  ;D

I fought putting Indian stuff on mine for a while but then realized that it IS a tribute to the Indian. I just don't put "Indian" brand name stuff. I put an Indian head decal recently with no script, Indian or Drifter.

I forget who posted the term but I am coming to embrace the "Pretendian."

I will not put on anything like the air cleaner decals or rear fender decals that say "Indian Drifter." It is NOT and Indian.

Mine has the Indian head, but with the word "Drifter" through it. I didn't put it on, that was the p.o. Our bikes may be a tribute to the Indians, they are not Indians. JMHO.

I think I know what you mean, like the ones I attached??

I see a lot of those, and it's not really want I'm lookig for.  No offence - it's not that I think they look bad, I was looking for a more "clean" look (less busy?) - dont' know how to describe for sure...

Found some Enfield Indian badges, repros, But I just can't decide if I really want it to say "Indian"......  thus the post.

As far as tank emblems go, I don't care for the ones that say "Indian", to me that's just not right. Mine has the Indian head, but with the word "Drifter" through it. I didn't put it on, that was the p.o. Our bikes may be a tribute to the Indians, they are not Indians. JMHO.

I agree; my Drifter also has the gold Indian head graphic with " Drifter" instead of "Indian".  But, like I said, each to their own. There is a young lady in my area who rides a Honda with the Indian Graphic with the word "Indian" through it on her tank. She likes it, her bike, her choice, not mine; I don't have to agree or disagree with it.

Each to their own, but if you really want a set of script emblems, email me. I have a set I will part with.

This is probably a touchy subject, but what are the thoughts out there on putting "indian" stuff on our drifters?  I realize it's personal preferance, but I want to know what the general concensus is.

When shopping for my bike, I saw this '02 800 in TN that was just really sharp.  It had the script "INDIAN" tank emblem and a custom tan leather seat.

I really like the Indian logo on the tank, but in some way it seams wrong?   I see a lot of them with the word "Indian" on them, but I just don't know.

What are your thougts???
