Do you realize that you're cooling your exhaust manifold using hot, waste air from your radiator and moving both of their heat into the base of your front cylinder??  Never seen anyone put a manifold in front of the engine.
Just curious; beautiful pipe work,

no problem, for more then one jear and more then 10.000km no heating problems, the motor is running well  ;D

That thing looks crazy... I like it!  The seat looks awesome, I want to fab a bracket/crossmember  that bolts on to the rear of where the two-up seat bolts on and mount a tractor style seat with springs. I've done a mock up of how it would look, but don't have all of the materials yet. It would push the seat back and give me a bit more leg room. I've got so many ideas!

It is my understanding that (like the 1500) any set of pipes which fit an 800 Classic will fit the 800 Drifter. But you have to change out the right rear foot peg bracket from which the pipes hang... or make an adapter.

Are the drifters pipe specific? I need to get rid of my stock exhaust (i can't even hear the motor past 45mph)... i've seen different vulcan exhaust on craigslist and ebay, but no one seems to know if they will fit on the drifter. I can't afford shell out 500 bucks on new exhaust. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any specifics on what I can use?
