Judging by my last post, I need to invest in a spellcheck program.  ;D

One thing that works pretty god om windshields is "Maguires Gold Class Clearcot polish" it will (with enough elbow grease) remove fine scratches, haze, etc. It also works extremely well at shedding rain.

I may buy that one from you, Chief. I've been wanting to but I'm gonna try buffing it this weekend. It's not cloudy but it has a bunch of pretty good scratches in it. Are you a quick shipper? :) I'm buying momma a bunch of safety related stuff first but I might try to get it before our Big Bend trip which is week after next.

I have one of the "real" drifter windshields (plastic only) left. I bought out the inventory of a shop and have sold the rest. Listed on autoandmotorcycle.com

Check the Classified section; there was one on there a couple of weeks ago.

I think I was looking at that one recently. I'm glad I didn't buy it. Not that I'm glad you bought it but... Of course, all I need is the glass. I'm going to try to restore mine. It has several medium scratches/gauges.

I purchased a new in box windshield on eBay, Kawasaki pn: K46001-025; when the box arrived (I had it shipped to my fathers place in Montana) the box had loose pieces in it; holes in box, 2 bolts and 2 washers missing; parts bag was open, parts throughout the packing material.  Fortunately the windshield wasn't scratched up. Drifter logo on windshield as per listing pics and info. However, the windshield stays are for a Classic, not a Drifter; slight difference being there are 2 holes, one on each side, on the front of the top triple clamp on the Classic. The drifter doesn't have these. So in order to mount this, I will have to drill and tap holes in the triple clamp. The seller did say he would send the missing hardware; too bad he didn't package properly.    Long story short, when buying sight unseen, whether on eBay or elsewhere, it comes down to "buyer beware".
I will pick up the windshield in May, and see if there are any other issues involved in mounting a "Drifter" windshield on my Drifter.
