What number is your clutch lever set at?

Umm, the clutch uses Dot 4 or higher brake fluid, not motor oil.  Check the lid on the clutch fluid housing.  I just changed mine a week ago.  I used Castrol GTX fluid and it is working great.

Yea, its not completely disengaging... adjust the lever a bit the other direction 1 is max distance of lever from grip, 5 is minimum, and see if that allows you to completely disengage.

If you STILL have problems, it could be any number of other problems.

Make sure you are using the right motor oil... and that it isn't too old!!  it does make a difference on a wet clutch.

Ensure the master cylinder fluid levels are correct and you have no air in the lines.

If these are ok... you will have to start troubleshooting the internals...

I have a problem now.  My hair trigger is too hairy.

I rode yesterday and noticed that if I rev the throttle the bike pushes forward ever so slightly... even though I have the clutch lever pulled all the way to the grip.

Does this mean my clutch is wearing out or do I maybe just need to adjust something?

Yea, it only moves the lever closer/farther from the grip... the "hair trigger" clutch is typical. I have mine set it on 1 - (1 is at 6:00 position)... I replaced the levers with chrome ones... first new set didn't have the dials. I hated the break point so I replaced with a chrome one with the dial.

Cheers.

You know that little dial on your clutch lever with the numbers 1 - 5 ?

I was hoping it would give me some extra play in the clutch, as my bike takes off right as soon as the lever is even 0.0001 milimeters off the grip.

I'm more accustomed to bikes that have a little more wiggle room.

So does it just move the lever further from the grip?  Like the higher number is farther away and the lower is closer?  Or do I have that backwards?
