HARLEY AIR SHOCK REPLACEMENT

I wasnt sure about the length but chief said 13" was the right size and the eyes are the same size..the HD air shocks are going to be found listed on Ebay under Harleys larger touring machines.. I also ride a 99 1500..          Rick  aka  RAWV

I have a question on the matter, do our bikes have the same size shock eyelets as harleys or if we order harley shock am i goign to have to drill them out to make them fit my 99 drifter 1500

Hey chief.. I don't know if the HD shock is any better but my stock shock at 33 k just doesnt give me the ride I want  ..I don't remember where I read it before but someone switched the stock shock to the HD and said it improved the ride .. so I guess I'll find out and let you know.    Thanks,    Rick

I have to ask... why do you think the HD air shock is better than the Drifter air shock? Or is it a matter of availability?

The 1500 uses a 13 inch shock.

I thought I saw something in the past about replaceing the drifter 1500 stock shocks with harley air shocks from the ultra glide.. if anyone has done this I would like to know if the upper and lower mounting grommets are the same size and does a 13 " work since I cant measure mine at this time ..I'm not sure  how long the drifter shock is..any input is appreciated.      Thanks,   Rick
