Please excuse me from riding my Drifter today and tomorrow because I am a wimp.  The weather forecast is call for a couple inches of rain, thunderstorms, possible tornado activity and sustained winds of 30-40mph with gusts up 60-70mph.  Or as we like to call it Blowpocalypse!

Sounds like my trip to Whitehorse (Yukon) a couple of years ago! A bunch of us went up and back, if you didn't like the weather, just wait a few minutes; we had TONS of rain, hail and even snow. This was in July. Oh well; my hide is water-proof; I doubt it will fill up and drown me! ;D All in a days fun! ;D

The wind was blowing so hard here is was hard to tell when there was a "gust" of wind.  It was hard to describe, it never let up.  Although I guess a steady, be it very strong, wind might be easier to navigate through.

:D HA HA Blowpocalypse, I love it. Sounds like my ride yesterday in Richmond VA. I was trying to stay ahead of the storm, I avoided the rain but the wind gusts were brutal... a couple of them scared the crap out of me when they hit...

So far you are describing our last trip through the Great Plains!  No harleys on the road but a LOT of goldwings!
