Big motorcycle accident in Phoenix yesterday

I was following this story, the driver of the truck has been charged. His tox screen came up with him having Methamphetamine in his system, he is facing numerous  charges.

I hate seeing fellow riders taken away from their friends and family due to the stupidity of others, but this one really does make you wonder why people think they can drive while on drugs, while reading, putting on makeup ect...My heart goes out to all who know/knew  any of the people on those bikes.

I just went to the news website, another person has died as a result of the accident; pray no more die as a result of that mans inattention.

I got my Ultra plowed out from under me and the wife by some guy in a Ford mini van coming out of a parking lot at way too much speed; he told the attending officer  "I looked right but didn't have time to look left. What was he doing on the road on a motorcylce anyway?" Idiot........

I got hit by another car that got hit by a guy that was a little high.........he was doin around 45 in a 20

Yeah, the van driver who re-ended me was eating a PLATE lunch at the time... he could have hit the median , but decided to bounce off a few cars at the red light instead... idiot.

Hopefully the 'authorities' will get to the bottom of it; was he on the phone, texting, eating lunch, whatever; somebody, hopefully, will come forward and say " I saw the driver of that truck doing blah-blah-blah." There is absolutely no excuse for doing what he did, short of having a sudden heart attack at the wheel, which he obviously did not, as the news clip shows him being given a field sobriety test.
Lets hope there will be some accountability on this.

At least he still has a life to be ruined. This is a straight, wide-open highway with nearly unlimited visibility. What, he didn't SEE 8 stopped motorcycles!

  Not sure if this is the right spot for this post but I thought you guys might like to know about this. One guy was riding a Drifter. I feel sorry for the riders and their families. Even the garbage truck driver has ruined his life because of a stupid mistake. Here's the link:
