« on: August 15, 2017, 18:00:34 PM »

Im getting a whirling noise on decel on my 1500 drifter. I have a nomad and it does not make t his noise at all. It sounds like its comming from the front of the bike but I cant isolate it. Anybody have any ideas??? Is this a normal noise???

Years ago (about 12 years ago) I was getting an occasional loud whirring/wining noise.  I never exactly figured it out what brought it on or exactly where the noise was coming from but it seemed like it was coming from from the water pump area.  I was due for the first coolant change anyway and after I changed the coolant, I never heard the noise again.  Not sure if the coolant condition was the problem or some other random thing cured it.
