I am in Hamilton, Ontario. I posted on Facebook group before buying the bike. You were helpful in knowledge to me. That was a few weeks ago. Thanks
I have been quiet and busy since;)
The grips are standard billet, but I have not seen these on any bikes, so I went with them due to that.
All I had to move was the switch housings over a 1/2 inch or so as the threaded bar ends stuck out further than the grips. These grips are 1/2 inch shorter than stock, so that was what threw me off for a few seconds.
All done and mounted today. I will post a pic or two

What grips did you go with? I never had to change anything?

Where abouts in ON are you located?

Upon looking again at it all....I was over thinking it. Yes just take the old grip off and put new on, over the threaded end.
What most guides etc don't say is that the controls may need to be moved/adjusted inwards or outwards on the bars depending on the new grip length.
Thanks above for your time!

Here's some info:

I didn't remove the bar threading I just installed the grip over it as I recall.

Good day,
Basic but important questions.
I received new grips....ready to remove old clutch side grip for example. I see after unscrewing the chome end cap off the stock a threaded end.
This end sticks out longer than the new grip. About the entire length of the thread to be honest
The threaded end appears to be a part of the handle tube.
Do you all cut this off and be done with it or does it screw off?

While here, the throttle grip has the ferrule ends for the cable. It is not just a slide on cover.
I have learned to undo cable housing screws....correct....and fit?
The grips are throttle side 12.5cm and clutch side 11.5cm x 1" diameter.
Thanks[ :o
